Pitchsyde Ltd Event Host Terms of Service (Ghana)
Effective date: 1 August 2025
1. Scope
These Terms apply whenever you ("Host", "you") publish an event and sell tickets through the Pitchsyde platform (the "Service"). By clicking Publish you accept these Terms and any policies we reference.
2. Pitchsyde’s Role
Pitchsyde only provides the online listing and ticket‑processing infrastructure. We do not promote, advertise, or otherwise market your event, and we do not act as producer, co‑organiser, or venue operator.
3. Your Responsibilities

| Event accuracy & compliance | List truthful details. Obtain every permit, licence, or mandatory insurance (e.g., city assembly event permit, venue approvals). |
| Marketing | All promotion beyond listing is solely your responsibility. |
| Taxes | You’re responsible for assessing, collecting, and remitting all taxes that apply to your ticket sales, including registering for VAT, charging the correct rate to buyers, and filing the required returns. |
| Data protection | Use attendee data only to manage the event. Handle data according to the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and register with the Data Protection Commission if required. |
| Content standards | You may not list events that advertise or sell obscene or pornographic material. Marking an event “Adult” confirms compliance with this rule. |
4. Ticketing, Payments & Refunds
- Processor. All payments are routed through Paystack. You also agree to Paystack’s separate terms.
- Payouts. Net ticket proceeds (minus Paystack and Pitchsyde fees) are transferred automatically to your designated account.
- Refunds & chargebacks. You control all refund decisions and bear any costs or disputes that arise.
- Price transparency. Ticket prices must include all taxes and levies you are obliged to collect.
5. Safety & Conduct
You must maintain adequate crowd control, security, and emergency procedures appropriate to your event size and type. Pitchsyde may request evidence (e.g., security contracts) before or after publishing.
6. Indemnity & Liability
You agree to defend and hold Pitchsyde (and its officers, directors, employees, and agents) harmless from any claim, damage, loss, or expense arising out of or related to:
- inaccuracies in your listing;
- injury, loss, or damages occurring at or in connection with the event;
- failure to obtain required permits, licences, or insurance;
- breach of these Terms or applicable law.
Pitchsyde is not liable for lost profits, reputational harm, or any indirect or consequential damages.
7. Suspension & Removal
Pitchsyde may unpublish or refuse any event that:
- violates these Terms, applicable law, or community standards;
- receives credible complaints regarding safety, fraud, or misconduct; or
- is subject to a court or regulatory order.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably within 30 days shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of Ghana, Accra.
